Through nurturing, a child will develop:
Patience     Respect     Cooperation     Perseverance

As a Christian-based preschool, we believe each child is a unique creation of God, with needs relative to their own developmental stage.

Our program sets goals for each child and we provide a positive Christian atmosphere in which every child is encouraged to participate and excel to his/her fullest potential, spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, creatively, and intellectually.

We believe young children learn best by doing and we provide a variety of experiences so that learning has meaning related to the child’s life.

We strive to provide an atmosphere that guides children to an understanding of God’s love for them and where the heart of all our efforts encourages a confidence and excitement for learning.

Our Director/Lead Teacher is Megan Mundle and our other lead teacher is Jamie Cantu. Both are highly qualified and will offer wonderful care and instruction for those children who are enrolled.

For more information about this exciting new program call the church office at 837-6425 or email Megan Mundle at fpcpreschool@embarqmail.com.

VPK INFORMATION:

The Constitutional Amendment approved by Florida voters in 2002 requires that a high quality pre-kindergarten learning opportunity be available to all 4 year old children in the state.  Legislation was signed into law by Governor Jeb Bush in 2005.  This law created a program that is free and participation in the program is voluntary for children meeting the age and residency requirements.  This program is called Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, or VPK for short. Little Schooner Preschool is a qualified VPK provider.  Our purpose is to help prepare children for kindergarten through age-appropriate and fun learning experiences, while building a strong foundation for their continued education success.

Little Schooner Preschool follows the Okaloosa County school calendar and we are registering for Fall 2010 classes now.
